A lavish melodrama set in the 17th century where a countess's daughter incurs the wrath of her parents when she spurns a suitor and falls in love with a stable boy. The film was long considered completely lost until the original negative was found in France in 2010, and it is the first of Malmö producer Frans Lundberg's rich feature film production to be rediscovered in nearly complete condition.
