Young Sasha receives a porcelain amulet as a gift from her grandfather. Accidentally dropping the ancient artifact, she makes a new friend—a kind spirit named Li Xiao. Li Xiao becomes enchanted by Sasha, and St. Petersburg becomes his new home. But soon the spirit is overcome by a mysterious illness. To save Li Xiao, Sasha embarks on a dangerous journey to China.
